Follow the instructions for your competition
The terms and stage invitation determine the vetting requirements and how information is supplied. General Service and cadetship materials describe security conditions alongside the other selection requirements. Passing a practice test or interview does not remove them.
Read each question as written. If you are unsure whether something falls within the request, ask the official contact rather than relying on an anonymous answer or a person whose circumstances differ.
Make your history consistent
Prepare the dates and details the official process asks for. Check records rather than filling gaps with approximate information presented as exact. If you discover a material error, ask how to correct it through the proper channel.
Accuracy is not the same as trying to make a history appear perfect. Do not omit requested information, alter evidence or invent an explanation to avoid a question. PSP offers no method for bypassing checks.
Keep private records in the right place
Supply personal information through the official secure process. PSP practice does not need your vetting forms, identity documents, addresses or other sensitive records. A planning checklist can say that a task is complete without storing its contents.
Avoid posting documents or application identifiers in public discussions. If you want advice on a general process question, remove private detail and still verify the answer with the recruiting authority.
Understand what a preparation service can do
PSP can help you list the next action, organise a timeline and distinguish vetting from other stages. It cannot check the official status of your application, predict a clearance decision or promise that a past issue will be accepted.
The official application FAQ explains that recruitment timing can depend on external returns. Keep correspondence and follow-up actions together rather than interpreting a wait as a result.
