What this diagnostic is for
A diagnostic gives you a starting point across the practice skill areas. It can reveal a missed rule, a calculation slip or a format you have not seen before. It does not measure every requirement for military service and cannot predict whether you will be selected.
Read the task instructions carefully. Error Detection, Orientation, Number Fluency, Word Rules and Deductive Reasoning do not all use the same answering method. Where information appears in stages, follow that presentation rather than treating the exercise as a single static question.
Get value from the feedback
After finishing, check the explanation for correct answers as well as mistakes. A correct guess can hide a gap. For a wrong answer, identify the exact step: a character position, an arrow condition, the first calculation, a category slot or a reversed relationship.
Choose one correction to apply to a new question. For example, complete both calculations before deciding which is larger, or test every arrow rule before selecting a diagram. This is more informative than repeating a familiar sample solely to produce a higher score.
Choose your next step
If your route requires aptitude testing, use the results to choose coached practice or a fresh timed set. PSP timers and scores are training settings, not official thresholds. Review course inclusions and current pricing before purchasing access.
If your immediate need is the application, fitness or interview, use those guides instead. Current General Service pages differ on aptitude requirements, so a test diagnostic should not distract from the stages named in your actual invitation. The official free familiarisation is also linked below for interface and format familiarity.
Questions about this stage
Is sign-in required?
Yes. The diagnostic link opens the PSP account practice route.
Does a high diagnostic score mean I will pass?
No. It is a small practice sample, with independent PSP scoring. The actual assessment and other selection stages remain separate.
