Read the whole invitation
Check the competition, assessment link, completion deadline, time zone if given and support contact. Read attachments and familiarisation instructions. Distinguish the deadline for completing an assessment from an appointment that begins at a specific time.
Confirm which sections are required rather than assuming the five public practice categories all appear. Candidate reports of different section counts are not a reliable specification for your own battery.
Check the setup in advance
Use the device and browser permitted by the official instructions. Confirm a reliable connection, working login and a setting where you can follow the assessment rules without interruptions. Use any official system check provided.
Find the rules on calculators, notes, assistance, breaks and navigation. Do not assume something is allowed because it was available in coached PSP practice. The 2026 Army process includes supervised verification, so the work must be your own.
If something goes wrong
Follow the official technical support process. Record the time and a concise description of the issue without copying secure questions or sharing live assessment content. Do not create repeated attempts or use an alternative link unless instructed.
If the expected email is missing, check folders and contact details, then use the official route. PSP can help with its own practice account; it cannot repair the employer’s assessment or extend its deadline.
After completion
Follow the completion instructions and retain any confirmation the system provides. Do not infer a result from the number of sections or from a different applicant’s account.
Use waiting time for documents, interview evidence and appropriate physical preparation. A recruitment decision comes from official correspondence, not from the score you achieved in an independent diagnostic.

Can I use notes because I used them in practice?
Only if the official assessment instructions permit them.
What if my test has fewer sections than the practice site?
Follow the official completion instructions and contact the named support route if something appears incomplete. Do not assume a technical fault solely from the public sample categories.
