PublicJobs Test Study Plan
A simple four-week plan for the aptitude tests. Stretch or compress it to fit the time you have. Steady beats cramming.
Week 1Learn the formats
- Read how each test works: numerical, verbal, SJT
- Do one untimed set of each to feel the shape
- Note which format feels least familiar
Week 2Build the weak area
- Spend most sessions on your weakest format
- Review every wrong answer and sort why
- Start one short timed set at the end of the week
Week 3Add the clock
- Move to timed sets in all three formats
- Track your error types, not just your score
- Practise pacing: read once, decide, move on
Week 4Sharpen and simulate
- Do full timed sets at the real timing
- Fix the one or two errors that keep recurring
- Rest the day before; do not learn new material
One rule that matters most: always review why you got a question wrong, and sort your errors into misreadings versus wrong assumptions. Fixing the pattern is what raises your score, not doing more questions blindly.
