Defence Forces aptitude results and PSP practice scores

Keep a practice score separate from a recruitment result. PSP feedback can identify a learning task; only the official process can tell you whether you progress.

Free account required. No payment card. Original practice with worked feedback.

Read the result you actually received

Check whether the score belongs to an independent practice attempt, a familiarisation tool or an official selection assessment. These are different contexts with different purposes. Do not compare raw totals as if they shared a scale.

For official correspondence, read the competition, stage, next action and any feedback or review instructions. PSP cannot see a confidential result or infer an outcome from an account practice score.

Use practice feedback to locate the problem

Look beyond the total. Did you misunderstand an instruction, miss a character, forget a rule, make an arithmetic slip or reverse an ordering? Check unanswered items separately from quick incorrect answers.

A small set can be affected by familiarity and guessing. A correct answer does not always show a secure method, and a repeat of remembered items is not a clean measure of transfer. Apply the correction to genuinely fresh practice.

Do not invent a pass mark

This preparation does not publish a universal official cutoff, percentile or selection probability. The competition and assessment process determine progression. A PSP percentage should not be relabelled ready for the Army or converted into a guaranteed outcome.

The 2026 Army booklet describes supervised comparison with earlier online performance. That is another reason to complete your own work under the official rules rather than treating the first result as the only requirement.

Plan the next action

If you progress, prepare the next stage and check its invitation carefully. If you are unsuccessful, use the official feedback route where available and within its deadline. The Army cadet interview feedback provision is specifically time-limited; do not assume the same procedure for every assessment stage.

For further practice, choose one or two causes of error and a method to address them. Keep the learning record factual. An unsuccessful result or a difficult diagnostic does not justify a broad judgement about a person’s worth or future potential.

Questions about this stage

What PSP score guarantees a pass?

None. PSP scores are independent practice measures and do not establish official progression thresholds.

Can I infer failure from a long wait?

No. Waits vary and only official correspondence establishes the status.

These guides explain the preparation process. Check your current competition booklet and invitation before relying on a requirement or date.

Official decisions, eligibility, medical clearance and assessment results belong to the recruiting organisation. A PSP practice score is not an official pass mark or selection prediction.
